Irina Shayk is known for pushing boundaries in fashion, and her latest magazine cover has once again sparked debate.
The 40-year-old supermodel has appeared on the cover of this month’s V Magazine in a bold bondage-themed photoshoot that quickly grabbed attention.
Shot by well-known photographer and artist Steven Klein, Shayk posed in a series of striking images wearing revealing leather outfits that leaned heavily into edgy styling.
In one of the most talked-about shots, she appeared fully nude, wearing nothing but a long leather cape that framed her body.
The photos sparked mixed reactions among Shayk’s followers, with some praising the “flawless” images while others felt the concept went too far.
“I’m sorry, but this photo makes me unhappy,” one person commented.
“Why did you agree to this?” asked another, while a third wrote, “I didn’t like this.”

Speaking about the daring shoot in V Magazine, Shayk explained that she was embodying a “character” that she developed in collaboration with Klein.
“For me, she represents a kind of wild femininity,” she said.
“She’s bold. She’s masculine in her own way. She lives in leather. She goes out. She’s in her ‘yes’ era—fearless, unapologetic, fully herself”
This is far from the first time Shayk has taken part in a provocative shoot that pushed fashion boundaries.
Ten years ago, the model, who is a mother of one, posed fully nude for a GQ Italia cover that also generated plenty of discussion.
Shayk’s latest appearance comes not long after she spoke openly about co-parenting with her ex-partner Bradley Cooper, with whom she shares their eight-year-old daughter, Lea De Seine Cooper.
Last year, Shayk spoke about how she and Cooper help their daughter “feel comfortable” despite both parents living very public lives.
“She has very, very little digital access, almost down to none,” she told People magazine.
Shayk added that she and Cooper focus much of their energy on “building community, friends and just giving love.”
She continued, “This is the best thing that you could give to your kid, raising them in a loving family.”
She also addressed beauty standards and how she approaches them as a parent, saying, “There are so many beauty standards out there that of course I try to protect my daughter from.”
Cooper has also spoken about involving his daughter in parts of his filmmaking work.
“There’s nothing weird about it,” he told E! News in October. “It’s just a part of what we do, and it’s kind of a nice thing. She cares so much about it.”
He went on to explain that children tend to speak their minds, noting that Lea has strong opinions about almost everything.
“I love it and I care what she thinks. Even with casting, we’ll look at casting auditions together.”
Meanwhile, Cooper is currently dating model Gigi Hadid, and the pair are said to be “on the same page about what they want long-term.”
The 30-year-old model has reportedly been dating the 50-year-old actor for two years, with sources saying both are happy with the direction their relationship is taking.
