The Game of Thrones co-stars are now playing a couple in a new film, which led to a funny moment during filming
Kit Harington and Sophie Turner left fans laughing after they filmed an on-screen kiss for an upcoming movie.
The two actors famously played Sansa Stark and Jon Snow in HBO’s hit series Game of Thrones. Their reaction after shooting the romantic scene has caught people’s attention online.
In Game of Thrones, Sansa and Jon grow up believing they are half-siblings. Later in the story, viewers learn they are actually cousins, as Jon is the son of Sansa’s aunt. Sansa’s father raised him as his own illegitimate son to protect the truth about his birth.
At this point, it is hard to call that a spoiler since the show ended years ago.
The actors are now starring together in a horror film where they play romantic partners instead of relatives. A short clip from the set made its way onto social media and quickly gained traction.
As soon as someone shouted “cut” after they filmed a kissing scene, both Turner and Harington immediately gagged, which only added to the humor of the moment.

To be fair, complicated family relationships are nothing new in the Game of Thrones universe. The series featured Jaime and Cersei’s brother-sister relationship, and Jon Snow unknowingly began a romance with his aunt Daenerys, played by Emilia Clarke.
That is not even counting the niece and uncle marriage storyline that appeared in the spinoff series House of the Dragon.
Because of that history, many fans of George R. R. Martin’s world rushed to the comments to point out that, in a strange way, the actors’ reaction felt fitting for the franchise.

One person joked: “Finally, Jon Snow embraces his true identity as a Targaryen.”
Another added: “I guess there’s no debate on whether jon is Targaryen anymore.”
Referring to one of the most talked-about incest storylines in Game of Thrones, someone else commented: “Cersei would be proud..lol”
Meanwhile, another fan offered a different explanation for the gagging, suggesting that spending years playing close family members might make it hard to switch gears.

“When you’ve been siblings for 8 seasons and your brains can’t process the switch,” they wrote.
Harington and Turner were filming a new movie titled The Dreadful, which is set for release on February 20.
The film is described as a gothic horror story set in 15th-century England during the Wars of the Roses.
The Wars of the Roses was a civil war between the Houses of York and Lancaster, two rival branches of the Plantagenet dynasty. Both claimed the English throne, and the conflict ended with the death of King Richard III at the Battle of Bosworth and the rise of Henry VII, the first Tudor king.
Interestingly, this period of British history is one of several real events that George R. R. Martin has drawn from while writing Game of Thrones. Many readers believe it helped inspire the “War of the Five Kings” storyline in the series.
